It appears to be bound in human skin, but the skin appears to be living; it pulses to the touch, and can be bruised by impact. It is uncertain whether the book as a whole is alive.
The Book is dangerous to read, and can alter its text. It's some sort of dictionary of Master Runes.[3][4]
