The Old Empire is an ancient empire that once ruled much of the Eastern Lands, including Tai-tastigon.[2][3] Given that they built Tai-tastigon, and their capital was Tai-than, the Old Empire presumably founded (or at least renamed) all the Tai cities, Tai-abendra, Tai-sondre, Tai-weir and Tai-tarosoloff.
