Sere was a Kendar randon of house Knorth. He was Winter's mate.[1] In the battle of the White Hills, he came at Winter crazed with the Highlord's madness in a berserker rage, and she killed him to save their unborn child Tob.[2]

Sere appears in person in "Hearts of Woven Shadow".[3] In To Ride a Rathorn, when Torisen is straining under the weight of remembering all the dead Knorth, Sere is one of the ones who cries out to him, begging to be remembered.[4]
